2023 Toyota 86–The 10th Anniversary Special Edition of the 2023 Toyota 86 (also known as the GR86) is painted in the rare Solar Shift orange color. It has had little changes overall and is only into its second year since being redesigned. Base and Premium are the two trim options available.
2023 Toyota 86 Exterior
The base grade has 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome-finished dual exhaust outlets, heated mirrors, proximity entry, and LED daytime running lights, headlights, side markers, and taillights. The matte black 18-inch wheels (with premium summer tires) and pronounced body-colored rear spoiler of the Premium version set it out visually. One of the extra premium features is adaptive headlamps, and the heated seats have suede inserts. The 10th Anniversary Special Edition is based on the Premium trim and includes distinctive matte black 18-inch wheels, a cat-back performance exhaust, rare orange paint with matte black decals on the c-pillar, and a matte black rear spoiler. There will only be 860 units made.
2023 Toyota 86 Interior
The Nissan Z, Porsche Cayman, and Toyota Supra are all around four inches longer than the 86, which measures 167.9 inches in total length. The Mazda Miata, on the other hand, is 18 inches shorter than the Toyota 86. A helmet can fit in the 37 inches of headroom provided for the driver and passenger, but anyone seated in the back seat should plan on a brief journey. Only 6.3 cubic feet of space are available in the trunk, which is nevertheless considered generous for the class. The infotainment system features an eight-inch touchscreen as standard and supports SiriusXM, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and remote-connected services. Two more speakers are added to the premium stereo in the trim.
2023 Toyota 86 Engine
The 86 continues to use a naturally aspirated engine with four horizontally opposed cylinders that produces 2.4 liters of displacement. Compared to the powertrain of the previous generation, which had a peak torque of 184 pound-feet, it produces 228 horsepower and has a considerably more predictable torque curve. Torsen limited-slip rear differential sends power to the back wheels, giving the driver complete control, while six-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels. For $1,500, a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is offered. The 86 performs poorly compared to its turbocharged rivals in terms of efficiency. The manual transmission variant only gets 20, 27, and 22 mpg accordingly, which are equaled or even surpassed by rival sports cars with more power, while the automatic transmission model gets an EPA-estimated 21 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Although the Special Edition’s price is unknown, it is most likely to fall between the base and Premium trims. This is undoubtedly one you should shortlist given how much fun you can have driving it and what else you receive for your money.
